News & notes

Football season isn't over yet for non-playoff teams in Section II.

For example, Troy High (5-3 overall, 3-2 Capital Division) will travel to Guilderland tomorrow, with the Dutchmen having lost three straight. You will recall that it was Guilderland that started Troy's downward slide in 2021. Troy, though, has won three in a row heading into this game.

Tonight sees a pair of crossovers on the docket.

Colonial Council rivals Cobleskill-Richmondville and Schalmont will meet at 5:30 pm. Mohonasen will face Schenectady in what might as well be the Electric City Toilet Bowl, given the collective struggles of the two teams this season.
