State tournament pairings have been announced for soccer and field hockey, with games to be played this weekend. There are only three classes in field hockey, as opposed to five, and sometimes, six, in other sports.
Field hockey:
Class A:
Bethlehem vs. Scarsdale.
Class B:
South Glens Falls vs. Lakeland.
Class C:
Hoosick Falls vs. Bronxville.
All three games will be played at Mahopac High in Putnam County. Times have yet to be confirmed.
Men's soccer:
Class B sub-regional:
Mechanicville vs. Salmon River, Wednesday at 6 pm at LaSalle.
Class C sub-regional:
Maple Hill vs. Canton at LaSalle. Date & time TBA.
Class D sub-regional:
Loudonville Christian vs. Greenport at Guilderland. Date & time TBA.
The men's Class AA & A titles will be decided tonight at Colonie.
Women's soccer:
Class AA:
Shaker vs. TBA, Saturday at Mechanicville. Time TBA.
Class A:
Columbia vs. Massena, Saturday at Mechanicville. Time TBA.
Class B sub-regional:
Schalmont vs. Saranac, today at 5:30 at Stillwater.
Class D:
Northville vs. Mount Academy at Newburgh Free Academy, Saturday at 1:30.
The Class C/CC title game between Voorheesville & Waterford will be played tomorrow at Mechanicville at 6 pm.
