News & notes

It has taken 26 years since Niskayuna last reached a Section II Super Bowl, and, on Saturday, at CBA, they finally won their first title. The Silver Warriors' defense all but shut down Averill Park's multi-threat, Jacob Phelps, who scored the Warriors' only touchdown, and crushed Averill Park, 35-6. State playoff pairings will be finalized on Monday.

Hoosick Falls is the last Section II team still in the tournament, as the Class C champions defeated Carle Place, 3-1. Hoosick Falls plays for the state title today vs. Whitney Point.
