Mechanicville native Chad Brown pled guilty to a charge of harassment, instead of greater chargers, in a case involving an ex-girlfriend in Saratoga over the summer. Brown likely will be given probation rather than jail time, and that's just a guess.

Dwayne Killings' suspension is over, and the UAlbany men's basketball coach will return Thursday when the Great Danes travel to Philadelphia to face St. Joseph's. Assistant Bobby Jordan, though, may be hearing from other teams about coaching vacancies before this season is over.
That's because Jordan, counting pre-season games, went 4-1 in filling in for Killings, the lone loss one week ago at Towson. Jordan and the Danes returned to Hudson Valley Community College on Monday, finishing the 518-centric portion of their schedule with an 87-75 win over Union in front of 1139 fans.
Gerald Drumgoole, Jr. has quickly become the Danes' leading scorer, as he led Albany with 26 points. Jonathan Beagle (Hudson Falls/St. Thomas More) added 17. Marcus Jackson (Albany Academy/Cushing Academy) had 4 points in just 12 minutes of game action.

RPI's football season isn't over yet.
The Engineers will host the Scotty Whitelaw Bowl vs. Morrisville State on Saturday. Kickoff is at noon.
I'd never heard of this game until today, so it must be something new.......
