He spent but a year, launching his coaching career after a playing career that included a stint with the Knicks.
On Friday, it was reported that former Siena coach Louis Orr had passed away at 64. Current coach Carmen Maciariello played for Orr during the 2000-1 season, and, in an interview with the Albany Times-Union, described Orr as an "amazing person".
Orr was hired away to Seton Hall the very next year, spent 5 seasons there (2001-6), then 7 at Bowling Green. He finished at .500 (201-201) for his career.
