 When the Albany Patroons' season ended earlier this year, there were indications that coach/general manager Will Brown would return next season.

A lot has changed.


Three months before the 2023 season begins, the Patroons now must find a new coach and general manager, as Brown stepped down on Saturday. His goal is to get back into the college ranks at any level. A gig as a pro coach or scout is not out of the question, either. Son Jackson is currently at Russell Sage.

Best wishes to Coach Brown. We'll see him again soon.

Former Tri-City Valleycat Jayson Schroeder, who spent part of a season in Troy, was released by the Houston Astros recently. Schroeder never reached the majors with the current World Series champions, and was wildly inconsistent when he was here. Now, he's likely to be opening a piano school.........
