 Due to an administrative error at Siena, the women's basketball game at Fairleigh Dickinson was cancelled Wednesday afternoon, and will not be rescheduled. The Saints are now idle until MAAC play begins next week.

For the 2nd straight week, inclement weather threatens the Friday high school sports schedule. Check with your schools, even though Christmas break begins tomorrow, to see if Friday's games are still on. Depending on where you live, they may or may not be.

After having the game cancelled the last two seasons due to COVID, Siena's men's basketball team will finally take the court at American University this afternoon. Tip time is 1 pm, and the game can be heard on ALT 104.9 FM in the 518.

Schalmont 22, LaSalle 10. Zach Bombard rolled a perfect game for LaSalle, finishing with a 836 triple in a losing effort.

Foothills Council:

South Glens Falls 3, Scotia-Glenville 1.

Queensbury won the Johnsburg Invitational for the men, while Shenendehowa won the women's tournament.

Cambridge 53, Hoosic Valley 23. Cambridge led, 25-14, at the break, and outscored Hoosic Valley, 28-9, in the 2nd half.

Western Athletic Conference:

Duanesburg 62, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 29.

Traditionally, the Harlem Globetrotters hit town in February. Not so this season. The 'Trotters bring their tour to MVP Arena on Monday at 7. Tickets start at $21. After the horror show ye scribe witnessed in 2010, they are back to their more traditional format vs. the Washington Generals. We think.
