News & notes

RPI & Union's hockey teams clinched home ice for their 1st round ECAC playoff series, which begin on Friday.

The two local teams tied for 7th place, and will host Yale and Princeton, respectively, on Saturday night. Princeton was just in town this past weekend, and were swept by the Engineers (6-4) & Dutchmen (3-1). Returning to Schenectady may not be the Tigers' idea of a good time, especially with a winter storm coming through on Friday.

First, Siena lost sophomore star Jared Billups to injury. Then, they were blown out of the gym as Iona collected a receipt in splitting the seasons series with the Saints, 93-60. The Saints return to MVP Arena Thursday for Senior Night vs. Manhattan, looking to end a 3 game losing streak.
