News & notes

When the Albany Patroons take the court tomorrow for a non-league exhibition, an old friend with ties to Section II will be in the lineup.

Shadell Millinghaus spent part of his high school career with Schenectady and Troy before moving on to a prep school. He was part of the 2019 Patroons team that won the championship in The Basketball League, and now he's reunited with coach Derrick Rowland, Sr., just in time for Friday's game vs. the London Lightning from Canada.

Albany has won 8 in a row since losing their opener. Millinghaus is an example of the rich getting richer, and that's bad news for the rest of the TBL.

Albany Academy grad Andre Jackson and UConn will headline Saturday's Final Four double-dip, as the Huskies will face Miami on TBS. The game will air in primetime, and likely end somewhere in the neighborhood of 11:30-midnight.
