Saturday's game between the Tri-City Valleycats & Washington Wild Things was rained out. The two teams will play a single admission doubleheader this afternoon, starting at 3 pm at Bruno Stadium. Tri-City is looking to end a 5 game losing streak.
At least ownership isn't so paranoid as to make sudden changes without any real reason, unlike a certain team across the river..........
================================================
The Albany Empire's losing streak reached 4 on Saturday, as the Empire suffered a very embarrassing loss to Jacksonville, 79-34. Sam Castronova haunted his former team, and the newest Empire QB, Jonathan Bane, threw 2 TD passes, but also 3 interceptions.
According to Abagail Rubel of the Albany Times-Union, that didn't sit well with Antonio Brown.
Brown, on Twitter, dropped hints that he might dump coach Tom Menas again after a disastrous showing vs. the Sharks. Brown, who said during the week he might suit up for the Empire next week at home, might take things a step further, and be a owner-player-coach. Can't say I didn't warn you about that, because I wouldn't put it past him.
And for all the talk about Brown denying his natural born citizenship, claiming to be a foreign born? Balderdash. Too many concussions as a player may have given him CTE, but he could also be bi-polar, to explain his bizarre behavior.
On the plus side, Brown resolved a debt owed to a local restaurant that alleged the team stiffed them on a bill for $700, according to WRGB.
None of this would be happening if Brown hadn't come to Albany dodging legal issues in his home state of Florida. Just sayin'. Stay tuned.
