The 518 Futures baseball game, scheduled for last night at Bruno Stadium, was postponed because of concerns over air quality due to the ongoing wildfires in Canada. By the time ye scribe left my day job Thursday afternoon, the skies had cleared, and maybe, just maybe, Section II was premature in postponing the game.
They will, however, play Sunday night at 6:30, preceded by a Home Run Derby at 4:30. For commuters relying on CDTA, that's a foul ball, as the #85 line stops running around 8:30 pm, and there's no guarantee the game would be over by then on a Sunday.

Niskayuna High principal J. R. Rickert has a 2nd gig, as the agent for Albany Empire majority owner Antonio Brown.
As an agent, Rickert doesn't have a lot of high profile clients, which allows him to fly under the radar, instead of seeking attention like Brown or most nationally known agents, like Scott Boras in baseball or Drew Rosenhaus in football, Brown's former agent.
