News & notes

 We're waiting on the result of Friday's women's basketball game between Troy & Schenectady at the Riley Center. We can't assume anything, given these are the bottom two teams in the Suburban Council Grey division, so hopefully, scores & stats tomorrow.
================================================
RPI tallied 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd period to defeat St. Lawrence, 6-3, in front of 1600 fans at Houston Field House. John Evans had 2 goals and an assist, and finished the scoring with an empty net goal with under 3 minutes left. Sutter Muzatti had a goal and 2 assists. RPI hosts Clarkson tonight at 7.

Meanwhile, the RPI women fell to Clarkson, 3-1, and will play St. Lawrence this afternoon.

Over in Schenectady, Union downed Clarkson, 5-1, and will host St. Lawrence tonight at 7. The Lady Saints shut out the Lady Garnet Chargers, 4-0.
==================================================
Siena has now dropped 8 in a row in men's basketball after losing, 67-63, to Canisius. We can't pin the losing streak solely on injuries any longer. The team is just underachieving. Mason Courtney (Shenendehowa) was given a start, and finished with 12 points. Michael Eley was held to 7. Siena travels to Niagara tomorrow.
