Section II has plenty to brag about after 4 women were crowned champions in the 2nd annual Girls' Wrestling Invitational in Syracuse on Friday. The champions are:

Callan Drake, Shaker (84 pounds).
Ragan Retell, Tamarac (126 pounds)
Mia Collins, Ballston Spa (132 pounds)

Drake & Retell are seniors. Collins & Hutton are juniors who could return to defend their titles next year. Congratulations to all four.

Without Michael Eley, still nursing a hamstring injury, Siena fell again Friday at MVP Arena. Iona used a suffocating full court pressure defense to shut down the Saints, and pick up a 70-51 win.

Siena (3-16 overall) stays home to play St. Peter's tomorrow.at 2 pm (JAMZ 96.3, WNYA). They have a couple of promotions, including Coaches vs. Cancer Suits & Sneakers Day and Spirit Squad Alumni Day, meaning former pep squad members will be returning for the day.
