The US women's national soccer team is 2-0 in the SheBelieves Cup after beating Australia on Sunday. Clare Hutton (Bethlehem) made her first start, and one could credit her with an assist on Team USA's 1st goal. Next game is Wednesday vs. Japan (10:30 pm, TBS).

The differences between the men's & women's basketball teams at Siena & UAlbany are like night & day. While Albany has dominated the America East in women's play, the men are now at .500 after a loss to New Hampshire on Saturday.
Then, there is Siena, whose men's team is borderline schizophrenic.
Reid Ducharme had a career high 21 points, one of four Saints in double figures, but it wasn't enough as Siena dropped a 93-88 decision to Canisius at MVP Arena on Sunday.
It wasn't a good day for Siena softball, either, as the Lady Saints dropped two games Sunday, 6-5 to Cornell, and 6-0 to North Florida, to fall to 5-4 on the young season.
=======================================
The rest of Sunday's college action:
Baseball:
Lamar 5, UAlbany 3.
Women's lacrosse:
Stony Brook 16, UAlbany 10.
Softball:
Ball State 12, UAlbany 1.

A gentle reminder that tip time at Troy High for tonight's 1st round Class AA women's sectional vs. Amsterdam is 6 pm. I think the game will be streaming on Hudl and/or YouTube.
Add Troy. Seems to me that Will Harris' club has gotten the Rodney Dangerfield treatment from the press this season after a turnaround from averaging 3-4 wins per year the last few years to a 14-6 ledger (9-5 Colonial Council) this year. Harris has a solid core of talent, led by his daughter, Amaya, who will be a freshman next year, returning. However, the press isn't showing these talented ladies any respect. Sure, Stetson Merritt and the men's team have put up some strong numbers this year, too, and Merritt was named to WNYT's all star team last month, but how 'bout showing the ladies some love, too?
