College basketball season is officially over in the 518.
Earlier tonight, UAlbany, on their home court, lost the America East Women's championship to Vermont, 62-55. Kayla Cooper led Albany with 18 points, but what did the Lady Danes in was Vermont's defense holding them to 4 points in the 3rd quarter
There's still a chance Albany could land a post-season berth in, say, the Women's NIT, but we'll see in a few days.

With 12 Section II basketball teams, and 2 hockey teams vying for state titles this weekend, Troy High would like to remind that spring sports season is right around the corner. The Flying Horses released this video, to the beat of "Swing" by Trace Adkins.
Weather permitting, the spring season starts April 1.

If Thursday's game was any indication, the NY Phoenix and Albany Patroons will both be playoff contenders this season in The Basketball League.
The Phoenix drew first blood, 129-113, Thursday at Armory Studios. The two teams will return there in April before the Phoenix come to the Washington Avenue Armory later in the season.
