The Tri-City Tide are setting sail for Moncton, New Brunswick after an unpleasant weekend in the 518.
Less than 24 hours after getting blown out by the Albany Patroons, the Tide were similarly humiliated by the NY Phoenix, 129-87, on Sunday afternoon in Schenectady, as the Phoenix bounced back after losing to the Pats on Friday.

Tommy Kahnle (Shaker) is off to a good start with Detroit. He pitched a clean inning on Sunday in the Tigers' 4-3 win over the Chicago White Sox, and hasn't been scored upon yet this season while manager AJ Hinch tries to figure out who his closer will be. For now, it's closer by committee. To that end, Kahnle has one save this season.
Kahnle and the Tigers welcome the Yankees today. All three games in the series are now matinees due to inclement weather in the forecast for the entire series (games can be seen on YES or Amazon Prime or heard on WTMM).

Meanwhile, MVP's other spring tenant, the Albany Firebirds, are 3-0, 2-0 on Vice TV, after beating Salina, 51-27. Sam Castronuvo threw 5 touchdown passes, and the defense added two Pick-6's as they pulled away in the 2nd half.
