News & notes

For a while, it looked like it'd be a competitive game between Iowa & UAlbany on Saturday night.

By the end of the 3rd quarter, that was not to be, as the Hawkeyes ran off 31 unanswered points to defeat the Great Danes, 34-7. Iowa's defense shut down Albany in the 2nd half.

The Danes stay on the road next week to play Delaware State, while Iowa will face in-state rival Iowa State (Fox, 12 noon).
