 Irad Ortiz, Jr. has all but wrapped up the riding title at Saratoga after notching 4 winners on Friday, bringing his season total to 59, and opening up a 7 win lead over brother Jose, who is in Kentucky for the weekend. Irad joins him there today, then returns to the Old Spa on Sunday.

Hometowner Dylan Davis had two winners to bring his total to 21.

A 13 race card is on tap today, with the first race at 12:05.

The Tri-City Valleycats, in the midst of blowing out New Jersey Thursday, found out who their first round opponent will be in the Frontier League playoffs, starting Wednesday.

The Sussex County Miners will be in town Wednesday, and then, the Miners will host game 2 Thursday, and, if needed, game 3 next Friday.

The 'Cats gave the Miners food for thought by pummeling Ottawa, 15-0, on Friday, having scored 32 runs in their last two games.

Uh-oh. Imagine what it's going to be like come Wednesday.......
