UAlbany's football team might want to avoid Eugene O'Neil's Long Day's Journey Into Night for a bit.

The Great Danes had to wait out a 3 hour weather delay during Saturday's game at Delaware State, the 2nd interruption of the game, with lightning in the general area. The game resumed at 8:15 pm, and ended 17 minutes later, as Delaware State rallied to beat Albany, 37-32.

Delaware State marks the first head coaching job at any level for former NFL star DeSean Jackson, who spent his entire career in the NFC (Philadelphia, Washington). One gets the feeling he'll be with a bigger school soon enough.

Shaker grad Tommy Kahnle was tagged with the loss Sunday, as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Detroit Tigers, 6-4. Kahnle gave up 2 runs on 3 hits and a walk in 2/3 of an inning without striking out a batter.
