News & notes

When Voorheesville ends its football season in the next few days, coach Joe Sapienza will retire from coaching, but will remain with the Blackbirds as their athletic director. It has been 27 years since the Blackbirds last won a sectional title, and the last two seasons have not been fruitful for Sapienza & Voorheesville. We wish Sapienza all the best.
