Yesterday, in our weekly review of Troy High sports, we noted how Mohonasen spoiled Senior Night for Troy's volleyball team on Friday.
Earlier, we saw in the Albany Times-Union that Troy was credited with a straight set victory.
Say what?
So, I Googled the match result, as I'd previously done before compiling Saturday's post. MaxPreps.com is claiming Troy won, 3-0, but noted that their data was fed via something called auto sentience. In other words, some jabroni with AI fed the website the wrong information.
Now, why would they do that?
Who knows.
To prove what we reported was true, we have the final 4 1/2 minutes of the 4th & final set, courtesy of YouTube. Neither YouTube nor Hudl had the complete match.
Proof that AI can be used for the wrong reasons. The reality is, Troy suffered its 1st regular season loss of the season, and will close at Lansingburgh on Tuesday, while Mohon goes to Cohoes.
