 With the Belmont Stakes Festival three weeks away, a labor union is threatening a work stoppage.

No, it's not about money, but, rather, working & living conditions, which the union, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1430, says haven't improved in the last three years for 500 backstretch employees, including grooms, exercise riders, hotwalkers, & watchmen.

While Troy High was eliminated from the tennis sectionals on Monday, two doubles teams, and singles player Aiden Couture, will play in sectionals at Shenendehowa on Saturday. Given Troy's poor record, we don't expect much.
