An Eagle's feathers get plucked (Bethlehem @ Troy, women's volleyball, 4/15/21)

Troy High opened the volleyball season by losing its first 4 matches before beating Albany a shade over two weeks ago. Then, they dropped 5 straight entering tonight's match vs. Bethlehem.

Troy jumped out to a 2 set lead before Bethlehem used a big run in the 3rd set to avoid the shutout, but couldn't complete the comeback, as Troy picks up its 2nd win of the season, 3 sets to 1, to end the 5 match skid.

Just added to the schedule for the Flying Horses (2-9) is a non-league match Saturday morning at Maple Hill. Match time is 10 am. Maple Hill represents the Patroon Conference. Troy returns to league play Monday, hosting arch rival Averill Park.

Also, the lacrosse team will open their season 2 days earlier than planned with a non-league match at Picken Field May 1 vs. Amsterdam.
