COVID be buggin', part 2

As the annual Mohawks hockey tournament is now underway at Union College, the COVID omicron surge has claimed another victim.

A squad from Brattleboro, Vermont was scheduled to play winless LaSalle in today's nightcap, but pulled out of the tournament at the last minute, replaced by Albany Academy. The amended schedule is as follows:

Academy @ Mohawks: Playing right now.

Tupper Lake @ LaSalle: 5:30 pm.

Tomorrow, Academy will play Tupper Lake, and the Mohawks & LaSalle will play each other for the first time this season, as they're scheduled to meet next month LaSalle was to play Brattleboro today and Tupper Lake tomorrow, so the Tupper Lake game was moved up. Here's to hoping LaSalle can finally win.

Meanwhile, Siena's men's basketball team was to travel to Washington to play American University tomorrow night, but that game was called off as American is dealing with a COVID surge, less than a week after Siena's women's team was pulled off the court 20 minutes before game time vs. Syracuse. Doesn't look like the game will be rescheduled.
