News & notes

Former Troy High QB/LB Joe Casale has entered the transfer portal, leaving the UAlbany football team after playing as a redshirt sophomore this season. I'm beginning to suspect he was not getting enough playing time under coach Greg Gattuso, or was frustrated with all the losing.

Best of luck to Joe as he seeks to continue his career elsewhere.

Tim Flanigan no longer has to worry about his defense on the ice at LaSalle. It's his offense that has gone missing.

The skating Cadets are now 0-6 (0-3 CDHSHL) after dropping a 4-1 decision to CBA Thursday night. 8th grader Chase Rose scored his first varsity goal, and senior goaltender Caleb Ellis had 29 saves. The Cadets host Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake-Ballston Spa on Wednesday in the last league game before the Mohawks tournament.
