 Jordan Canzeri is back at Troy High.

The former football star, who played his college ball at Iowa, but was ignored in the NFL draft, has returned to Troy as a principal's assistant, where he'll likely be mentored by former men's basketball coach Richard Hurley, who has been a principal's assistant himself the last few years.

And while we're on the subject of surprise personnel changes, women's basketball coach Ryan Meikle was promoted to Assistant Principal at the start of the season. That doesn't mean Meikle is leaving the bench, but we'll have to wait & see.

In other Troy news, the men's soccer team snapped a 3 game losing streak in shutting out Tamarac, 4-0, on Thursday. Troy, now 2-6 overall (0-4 Suburban Council) has squared its non-league record at 2-2, and will host another non-league opponent in Lansingburgh on Saturday.

The women's volleyball match between Tamarac & Troy was postponed for unknown reasons, and, likewise, Troy's match vs. Catholic Central, scheduled for today, has also been postponed. No make-up dates have been set.

Based on recent interviews, it seems as though Albany native Bobby Fish could return to AEW or WWE at some point, as he left WWE on good terms last year.

Meanwhile, Zack Clayton, known to local independent wrestling fans, has made his way to AEW, and is appearing on their YouTube shows on a regular basis.
