High School Fridays: First, the flowers, then the massacre (Troy @ Bethlehem, women's basketball, 2/10/23)

It is Senior Night at Bethlehem High this evening. As a token of goodwill and sportsmanship, the Eagles honored not only their lone senior, but also Troy's 4 seniors, including Addie Borowsky, who were honored prior to last week's loss to Niskayuna. I've seen this kind of goodwill before, when Troy's women's soccer team similarly honored Heatly a few years ago.

Noticeably absent was coach Steve Lombard, and Troy dressed just 8 players. Uh-oh! Sarah Fullmer ran the team tonight, but otherwise, it was more of the same.

Bethlehem never trailed, using a suffocating, full-court pressure defense, generating more turnovers than a pastry factory. If I named some brands, I'd be sued for defamation. Just kidding. After a narrow loss to Shenendehowa on Tuesday, Bethlehem, as expected, took it out on the undermanned Lady Horses to the tune of a 68-30 beatdown.

Edit, 2/15/23: Bethlehem has decided to privatize the video. So, we have a little graphic to replace it.

Troy finishes the regular season 1-19 overall.
