The latest update on the Albany Empire is that former UAlbany QB Vincent Testaverde, Jr. was cut during training camp. An updated media article said that newly released QB Sam Castronova was the only QB on the roster.

In other Troy High news, the softball team did get their game in vs. Shenendehowa Monday, and ran their winning streak to 6 in a row with a 5-4 win. Olivia DeCitise went the distance again for streaking Troy (12-3, 7-3 Suburban Council) with 13 strikeouts. Next up is Columbia, at home, weather permitting, tomorrow.
Troy & Shen will try again in baseball today.
