With their football team in Baltimore to play Johns Hopkins this afternoon, Union College's men's hockey team opened a 2 game home series vs. Stonehill on Black Friday in front of nearly 1300 fans at Messa Rink. The Garnet Chargers (5-5) downed winless Stonehill (0-13), 5-2. The two teams will meet again today at 4 pm at Messa Rink.

Somers 21, Niskayuna 7. Somers once again blocks a Section II team from advancing to Syracuse. The Tuskers forced 4 Nisky turnovers, including three Ethan Gilson interceptions. Niskayuna, between penalties and turnovers, squandered an early 7-0 lead.
Class D:
Stillwater 21, Haldane 20. Stillwater's James Cocozzo broke up an attempted 2 point conversion to send Stillwater to their first state final, where they'll play the top Class D team in NY, Tioga, next Saturday.
