News & notes

Tara was born in Massachusetts, and her family moved to Schenectady early on. She graduated from high school in Niagara Falls. She was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011, and won gold medals in the Olympics, Goodwill Games, and World University Games. She finishes with 1216 wins on her record for an .818 winning percentage.
