News & notes

There are reports out that Burnt Hills/Ballston Lake/Scotia-Glenville women's swimming coach Sean Headwell has been placed on leave. Neither school district will elaborate on why, citing "personnel reasons".

Uh-oh. Let's hope there's more to this story, instead of it getting flushed out of the pool and down the drain, if you know what I mean.

We're still a couple of months away from the start of women's basketball at Siena, but freshman Allison O'Hanlon (Duanesburg) is currently in a walking boot due to an injury (ankle, possibly), and coach Terry Primm is unsure when O'Hanlon will be able to play.

In other Siena news, Olympic gold medalist Elisa Mevius transferred to Oregon after last season, and prior to the Paris Olympics over the summer, likely as a graduate transfer. Best of luck to Elisa.
