Let's just jump right into it.
Bowling:
Troy finished 13th in the Class A sectionals at Boulevard Bowl, which would be normal, regardless of what league they play in. Congratulations to coach Don Poutre and his team on an outstanding 1st season in the Colonial Council.
Men's swimming:
Troy/CBA/Columbia finished 2nd behind Shenendehowa in the 3 day tournament that ended earlier today. Now, let's hope Troy's Rocco Jabour has some company in the form of other Troy swimmers next season.
Women's basketball:
Final regular season record: 14-6 (9-5 Colonial Council).
Troy has a week at least to prep for sectionals, as seedings will be announced on Friday. Will Harris' club is on a tear, having won 4 in a row, and 10 of 11, heading into the post-season, after beating Mohonasen on Friday.
Men's basketball:
Current record: 14-5 (10-2 Colonial Council).
After sweeping Cohoes & Mohonasen this week, Jamil Hood's squad will host Schenectady on Tuesday to close the regular season. Men's sectional pairings will be announced on Wednesday.
The sports review will return in April to cover lacrosse, baseball, and softball.
