News & notes

I shan't be surprised if the DJ at the Albany Firebirds' home games finds a copy of McFadden & Whitehead's "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" to play for future home games.

The 'Birds completed a sweep of a home & home series vs. defending champion Billings Sunday night by blowing away the Outlaws, 39-7. Billings was held without a point for the final 53 minutes of the game. In other words, a 1st quarter touchdown was all the Outlaws could muster.

Albany pays a call on old friend Darius Prince & Corpus Christi on Friday night.

The Albany FireWolves' season is over after the 'Wolves could not complete a home & home sweep at San Diego on Friday, losing, 10-9. After reaching the NLL finals last year, the 'Wolves end up missing the playoffs.

There's always next year.
