News & notes

Hockey's Mayor's Cup is staying at Union College.

The Garnet Chargers swept the men's & women's games at MVP Arena Saturday, in the process winning the season series between the two schools.

The women's team defeated RPI, 4-3, in the opener. The men's game went to overtime before Union completed the sweep, 5-4. Union has now won 2 straight women's cup, and 5 straight on the men's side.

Similarly, UAlbany's basketball teams had their hands full with New Hampshire. The men went on the road, and dropped an 80-72 decision. Miles Rose led Albany with 20 points. Back at Broadview Center, the Lady Wildcats spoiled National Women & Girls in Sports Day with a 56-51 win over the skidding Lady Danes, who've dropped 5 in a row.

The Section 2 Skills Competition and a clinic on learning to be an official, both scheduled for Clifton Park Arena this afternoon, have been cancelled due to the weather. No make up date has been set as of press time.
