These days, former Siena women's basketball coach Ali Jaques is a color analyst for UAlbany, calling games airing on ESPN+ & ESPN3, which, unfortunately, are not broadcast locally over the air, unlike her former employers at Siena, which has a TV deal with WNYA, in which the station gets to use the ESPN3 feed for home games.
The Albany Times-Union reports today that Jaques, whose husband, Marc Rybczyk, was introduced as an assistant coach earlier this week, will have the same gig as a color analyst for the Albany Patroons when The Basketball League begins its 2022 season in March. Spectrum evening anchor Marisa Jacques will handle play-by-play, which, oh, by the way, adds to the Catholic Central connection to the Patroons. Jacques graduated from CCHS a number of years ago.
The plan appears to have the games live-streamed, instead of seeking a TV or radio deal. We'll be keeping an eye on that.

The College of St. Rose's women's soccer team advanced to the Division II finals Thursday, downing Dallas Baptist, 2-1, in Colorado Springs. A rematch with Grand Valley State, the team that ended the Golden Knights' run two years ago, awaits in the title game tomorrow.

It seems that some schools in the Patroon Conference decided to delay some men's volleyball games until after the season had formally ended. That being said, Taconic Hills posted a 3-0 shutout of New Lebanon on Thursday, but who notices with all the winter sports going on?
