News & notes

 In case anyone wonders why the Albany Times-Union hasn't published high school hockey scores of late, it's because of lack of available space, more so than teams not submitting scores by the next day deadline.

That having been said, some basketball scores aren't being published for the same reason, and we've talked about that before. This is where parents can step in and help their schools by helping submit game results. It wouldn't hurt.

==================================================
The Albany FireWolves return to action tonight, hosting Saskatchewan at MVP Arena (7 pm, WNYA, WTMM-FM). Despite the team's 0-2 start, local media is doing their part to help promote the team.

WROW-AM gave away tickets for tonight's game during morning drive all this week, and likely will do so for all home games this season. Given the below freezing temperatures today, we don't blame you if you stay home.

RPI's women's hockey team returned to action Friday, dropping a 2-1 decision to Brown to fall to 3-8 in ECAC play (6-14 overall). Seems the early momentum has completely dissipated.
