It's only fair to warn you if you didn't know already

Late Thursday, the Enlarged City School District of Troy posted this message for today:

And, mind you, this was before the storm began overnight. Similar messages were posted in other districts in Section II and throughout New York's storm-affected areas.

The other shoe dropped this morning with the official announcement on Schedule Galaxy that tonight's basketball games (i.e. Niskayuna @ Troy, LaSalle @ Ichabod Crane, Catholic Central @ Lansingburgh) have been postponed due to the storm.

Catholic Central & Lansingburgh, at least, will try again tomorrow. LaSalle @ Ichabod Crane has been moved to February 9. No make-up date's been set for Niskayuna-Troy as of this writing. While the Niskayuna men's team is undefeated in league play, the postponement couldn't come at a worse time for everyone else affected. With the sectionals set to start somewhere around February 17, there is going to be a scramble to reschedule. Troy, for example, already is facing four games in five days next week:

Tuesday: CBA.
Wednesday: @ Albany.
February 11: @ Bethlehem.
February 12: Non-league game vs. Mount Anthony Union. It's entirely possible the visitors from Vermont will have to reschedule for next season if it's decided the Nisky game is to be played that day, as a league game, as we've seen, takes precedence over a non-league game. The only other options would be to fit the game on February 14 or 15.

Stay tuned.
