 UAlbany is one win away from the America East championship in women's basketball.

Helene Haegerstrand led the Lady Danes with 18 points as Albany downed Vermont, 67-54, in what would be the final home game of the season for Albany at SEFCU Arena. Lilly Phillips (Cambridge) & Grace Heeps (Columbia) were held scoreless. Abby Ray (Saratoga) didn't play.


Albany travels to Maine to play the top seeded Black Bears on Friday. Maine swept Albany during the regular season.

Stillwater 58, Maple Hill 53.

Men's Class B sub-regional:

Ichabod Crane 71, Canton 58. Brett Richards led all scorers with 26 points.

Women's Class A sub-regional:

Averill Park 66, Massena 27. The Lady Warriors led, 25-7, at halftime. Amelia Wood had 17 points, and Taylor Holohan had 16.

Women's Class B sub-regional:

Schalmont 67, Gouverneur 43. Payton Graber had 26 points for the Lady Sabres.
