 After not being drafted in June, Daniel "Boo" Buie (Troy High/Gould Academy/Northwestern) has signed a contract with the Knicks. The contract is what's known as a "Exhibit 10" deal, which allows Buie to remain with the Knicks through the preseason. If he makes the active roster for the regular season, the contract becomes a one year deal worth in excess of a million dollars. The contract could also go into a two-way system, which would lead to Buie being assigned to the team's NBA G-League team in Westchester.

Older brother Talor Battle (Bishop Maginn/Penn State) was an assistant at Northwestern last season, but has moved on to Ohio State.

For whatever reason, swimming results have not been appearing in the local papers this season. That being said, we can tell you that LaSalle bested Troy High & the Academy of Holy Names in a 3-team meet Tuesday. I don't know how that would be reflected in the team standings.
